Welcome to Ingold Veterinary Hospital!

COVID UPDATE FOR 2022 - To accompany your pet inside the hospital, we now require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination including a booster.  Masks are also required.  One prescreened client per visit, excluding euthanasia appointments, may enter with a patient.  All other appointments will be scheduled curbside.  Full scheduling details are defined below for both doctor and curbside appointments.  As before, if you have recently traveled to areas designated as high risk for COVID 19, have a fever, or COVID 19 symptoms, please call to reschedule your pet’s appointment. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation with these important policies.

Managing Your Pet’s Healthcare - For your convenience, our answering service is available 24/7 at 717-792-2531.  During times of high call volume, please follow the prompts and leave a detailed message. We will contact you at our first opportunity for all concerns excluding prescription refills.  Also, you may access your pet’s healthcare 24/7 online at our Pet Portal.  Clients can register online by clicking on the Pet Portal Logo or by calling us with your email address. Once registered, clients will be able to schedule appointments, receive appointment confirmations, order prescription refills, including pet foods and flea, tick and heartworm products, all online.  

COVID 19 General Hospital Policies - For your safety and ours, masks covering the mouth and nose are required both inside and at curbside appointments. All pets are required to be on fixed length leashes or in carriers.  Due to extensive hospital sanitation between patients, please request all services at the time you schedule your pet’s appointment. Last-minute, same day requests for additional services (nail trims, prescription refills, etc.) may need to be rescheduled.  Please keep your cell phones available from check in to check out. If we are unable to reach you, the doctor and technician must move on to the next scheduled appointment.

Exam Room Doctor Appointments - One prescreened and masked client (per visit) may enter the hospital, excluding euthanasia appointments, which allows two prescreened individuals.  However, all clients will be asked to remain in reception during the patient’s visit.  The doctor will approach you with any questions, concerns or recommendations he may have for your pet.

Upon arrival, please read the exterior signage on the South Gotwalt Street side of the hospital.  Call 717-792-2531 to advise that you have arrived.  If we are unable to answer your call right away, leave a detailed message including your name and phone number.  We will call back at our first opportunity.  Do not bring your pet to the main entrance until you have been advised that it is safe to do so.   

Curbside Appointments – Curbsides include certain doctor and all technician services.  Medication and pet food refills are also curbside. Upon arrival, remain in your vehicle and call 717-858-7466.  If we are unable to answer right away, please leave a detailed message including your name and phone number; or simply call back.  We will call you at our first opportunity.  Please be prepared to bring your pet to the main entrance when advised it is safe for you to do so.  A technician will greet you at the door and take your pet into an examination room.  After the visit, the doctor or a technician will call you with an evaluation and/or recommendations for your pet. You will be checked out by phone transaction and advised when it is safe to collect your pet at the main entrance.

Unfortunately, we expect curbside appointments to continue for the foreseeable future.  Please know that our team will gladly collect and return your pet to your vehicle should you need assistance.
