Veterinary Technician – Full Time or Part Time

Increased patient demand requires us to seek an experienced LVT; or experienced veterinary assistant with degree and 5+ years of veterinary office experience.  We are a well-established one doctor small animal hospital that focuses on personalized patient care and client education at every turn!  Doctor appointments are 20 to 30 minutes.  We want our techs to utilize their skills to effectively enhance the doctor’s productivity and provide uninterrupted patient and client services.  We seek a skilled professional, with a mature attitude, to work a mix of mornings or afternoons between 7:45 am to 6:30 pm; no weekends, unless on call that week.  Administrative requirements include strong verbal and written communication skills, skilled computer abilities (Avimark helpful), typing at 50+ wpm, excellent math; and neat handwriting for our paper-light office.  Must be detailed and organized; yet with a sense of urgency to get the job done! Desired technical skills include patient histories, TPR’s, venipuncture, assisting with surgery, performing dentals, digital radiographs, therapeutic laser treatments, assisting with ultrasounds, laboratory testing, medication prep and dispensing; vaccinations and boosters; AG expressions and nail trims.  Ability to work independently or with a team required. Receptionist/Administrative Assistant – PT or FT

Do you enjoy people and pets? Are you positive, enthusiastic and compassionate? Then this may be the job for you!  Constantly increasing patient demand requires the addition of an experienced Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to work a mix of mornings or afternoons between 7:45 am and 6:30 pm; typically, 28 to 35 hours weekly.  No weekends!  Must be detailed and organized and have a working knowledge of veterinary terminology, a basic awareness of responsible pet ownership and care for canines and feline and professional and polished verbal and written communication skills.  A neat appearance and legible handwriting, strong math skills for financial transactions, the ability to work independently and/or as an effective team member are required.  Can remain calm and empathetic under pressure.  We seek experience using veterinary software (Avimark helpful) for appointment scheduling, and ability to type 55+ wpm with accuracy.  (Resume typos will disqualify an applicant).  Will be an accomplished MS Word and social media user; some Excel experience preferred.  All team members assist with hospital cleaning as needed.  Prefer some college education.  We offer an attractive benefits package, and a friendly, nonsmoking and clean working environment.  Wages are DOE.
